Trying To Make Your Own Fresh Oatcakes? The
Staffordshire Oatcake Company To The Rescue!
Everyone loves going to the oatcake shop for a quick pick-me-up. Whether it's sausage and
bacon or just cheese, every Stokie can appreciate the delicious mascot of our city -
Oatcakes.
Do you know a friend who has moved out of the city and is panicking - they can no longer
find this iconic delicacy, or maybe you fancy yourself the next cooking master? Either way,
we’d recommend trying out The Staffordshire Oatcake Company’s oatcake mix for all your
oatcake needs. It is easy to use, and the results are as good as going to the oatcake shop!
Alongside the original oatcake flavour, you can also find pickelet oatcake mix and
Mexican-style oatcake mix in store. Making about 12 oatcakes, their mix is a classic present
for any Stokies, especially those abroad or living outside of Staffordshire.

Ay’ Up Duck! Is That a Duck Hoodie & T-Shirt by
Angie Babe 13?
Can’t stop saying the iconic “Ay’ Up Duck”? Then why not get it on a t-shirt? Angie Babe 13
has quite the selection of Stokie goodies, including artwork, prints, coasters, mugs, tea
towels, tote bags, keyrings and more. So, she definitely has the perfect product for you and
your family this Christmas!
One of their products we wanted to highlight in particular was their great selection of
t-shirts and hoodies. Whether it's a top with “proud to be 100% Stoke-On-Trent” or the
matching “Stokie bloke” and “Stokie bird” design, there's a t-shirt to show off your love for
the city.
In particular, our favourite is the “Ay’ Up Duck” T-shirt featuring the iconic phrase. It
showcases the right level of playful and cute by adding a little duck next to the text. Both
the hoodie and t-shirt are made of comfortable materials and come in a variety of colours,
ranging in sizes from small to XXL. If you are unsure of your sizing, then definitely make the
most of our changing rooms and try the items before buying.

Bost Eet? Prints by Number Fifteen Design
Looking for a print of your favourite Stokie phrase that has been confusing non-locals for
centuries? Then look no further! Number Fifteen Design has the classic “Cost Kick A Bo”
phrase on a variety of prints, tote bags and cards!
By blending photography with pop culture, Dave has created a series of uniquely designed
and visually interesting prints that encapsulate many well-known aspects of Stoke-on-Trent.
Some of our personal favourites feature landmarks such as “The Blue Clock” that almost all
of us have waited by at some point during our visits to Hanley. You can also find prints with
well-known locations such as Westport Lake and Gladstone Pottery alongside many bottle
kilns.
Dave’s unique designs stand out (in the best way) and add extra variety to Stokie-themed
home decor, so if you’re interested in pop art-inspired and a more photo-realistic style, we
would recommend these prints in particular.

Are You a Port Vale or Stoke City Football Fan?
Born Stokie Has The Gift For You
The two most popular football teams in Stoke-on-Trent are Stoke City and Port Vale, so
understandably, we have a huge selection of goodies for fans like you and your families who
aren’t sure what to get you for Christmas!
Born Stokie’s collection of travel mugs, coasters, pins, magnets, and more offers practical
and stylish gifts. Her illustrations are bold and artistic, which makes them stand out
amongst other football merchandise. One of their most popular products is undoubtedly the
huge selection of travel tumblers and bottles, ideal for keeping your drink cool during the
summer heat at a football match. Similarly, the never-ending coasters and matching mugs
are a great option to spice up your football-loving partner’s mug collection.
For a more personalised Stoke-on-Trent-related gift, Born Stokie’s products for both football
teams are a great choice. Alongside these, she also creates a variety of non-football
products featuring the well-known bottle kilns, phrases, and moments of Stoke-on-Trent.

The Perfect Mix of Gaming & Oatcakes On A
T-Shirt, by Oatbakers
A recent, but popular addition to our store is Oatbaker's iconic “Grand Theft Oatcakes”
t-shirt, which, as the name implies, parodies the GTA game with a Stokie twist featuring
many oatcake lovers on the front in a similar art style to the video game.
Their tops come in a variety of sizes and are made out of a soft, comfortable material. It
makes a great Christmas gift, especially when paired with their matching mug featuring a
similar design.
Oatbakers also have a great selection of oatcake and stokie-themed Christmas t-shirts and
cards, such as a “All I want for Christmas is oatcakes” card and a “Stokies Christmas list”
t-shirt. We would definitely recommend their products to any oatcake lovers, as there is a
great selection to choose from.

Standard Ceramic Mow Cop Castle Size £35
A Mini Mow Cop Castle For Your Home by HSL
Pottery
Now that winter has crept in and the weather is less desirable, many of us miss going out to
see the many local walks and nature trails across Staffordshire. One of which is the beloved
Mow Cop Castle!
HSL Pottery has the perfect ceramic reminder of the landmark, ideal as a mantle piece or as
a small piece of home in your windowsill. It comes in a variety of sizes and features the
lovely green hilltop with the castle’s recognisable shape in grey on top. It comes together to
create a quaint, natural-looking ceramic sculpture perfect for your home.
The ceramic artist at HSl - Sara - is from the heart of the pottery Mecca, Stoke-on-Trent,
Staffordshire. As part of her mission to make pottery more accessible, she also runs a
variety of workshops in-store and across Staffordshire, such as the incredibly popular

Artwork Made From Oatcakes? Made by Grace & Flo
Do you wish that you could have oatcakes on your walls? With this artwork from Grace &
Flo, you have the next best thing: oatcake artwork.
Grace & Flo make colourful, unique artwork using print, watercolour, mixed media, digital
art and oatcakes, and the result is beautiful! The texture of the oatcake is used to create
bottle kilns, the sun, landscapes and more. We especially like some of their more colourful
pieces, which often incorporate a watercolour background using a variety of aesthetically
pleasing colours.
There is also a great range of cards inspired by many of her artworks, perfect for birthdays
and other celebrations for any Stokies.
